What’s a birthday party without colourful balloons, delicious, healthy food and hilarious entertainment?

Come one, come all, and celebrate being a kid at the City of Burlington’s Children’s Festival presented by the Rocca Sisters & Associates. The event is being held on Sunday August 21st, from 10am – 5pm at Spencer Smith Park. Now in its 25th year, the City of Burlington will be hosting this family-fun, interactive, annual outdoor festival once again. And it’s FREE to attend!

Ranked as one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events within Ontario, this is a great way for families to spend an active summery Sunday together. With the breeze coming off Lake Ontario, beat the heat with so many fun activities to choose from. The possibilities are endless!

From bouncy castles to stage performers, there’s so much to see, do and eat. Plan your day …

  • Live entertainment
  • Play zones and inflatables
  • Crafts
  • Kids’ marketplace
  • Come hungry and choose from a variety of healthy food options and food trucks
  • Celebrate community partners, sponsors and groups
  • Visit vendors to learn about their products and services offerings (business, green, entrepreneurial, etc.)

A wide range of business and “green-conscious” vendors will be on site. This includes a variety of recreational and sport organizations within Burlington that offer selections of their activities to youth of all ages. This allows parents to get ready for the Back-to-School season, and, the extra-curricular activities routine once again.

This eco-friendly, green festival is easy to get to, too. Walk, bike, drive, carpool, take Burlington Transit public transportation; whatever your mode of coming to the festival, there are plenty of transportation options to choose from. There’s also street and public parking (free on Sundays – bonus!) for those visiting from out of town. The festival is wheelchair accessible. Staff will be on site to provide any assistance and answer any of your questions or concerns.

Don’t forget to bring your own water bottles! There will be water fountains conveniently located all around the park and a complimentary refill station to stay hydrated.

Spencer Smith Park is a green space that we all cherish and treasure by the water. Not to worry, there are plenty of recycling, green cart and waste disposal containers conveniently located to preserve the beauty of the park as families enjoy themselves for the day. Burlington Events is committed in working towards Zero Waste!
